Kolithgard is a vast and storied desert nation, a land of endless golden dunes, towering sandstone spires, and glittering oasis cities that gleam like jewels beneath the blazing sun. Stretching across the Great Red Wastes and bounded by trade routes and shimmering mirages, Kolithgard is governed not by kings or sultans, but by the Magisterium—an elite council of powerful mages who rule by arcane wisdom, not bloodline.

This magocracy, known formally as the Circle of Eternal Flame, is composed of seven archmages, each representing a different school of magic. Their decisions are guided by ancient scrolls, celestial signs, and long-standing magical traditions that trace their origins back to the First Flame—a mythical source of power said to lie beneath the city of Al Basheer, the nation's sun-drenched capital.

Kolithgard’s culture is vibrant and full of life, echoing the grandeur of Arabian nights. Sprawling bazaars hum with merchants selling enchanted spices, flying carpets, whispering lamps, and bottled sandstorms. Storytellers and illusionists entertain in moonlit courtyards while nomadic tribes, bound by ancient pacts, travel the desert with their wind-sailing caravans. Djinn, once feared, now serve as diplomats, guides, or even magical advisors—bound willingly by contracts that reflect Kolithgard ideals of balance and consent.

Despite its formidable magical defenses and the raw elemental power harnessed within its borders, Kolithgard is a nation of diplomacy and hospitality. It maintains strong ties with surrounding lands through magical treaties, knowledge exchanges, and shared defense pacts. Scholars and spellcasters from distant realms often journey to Kolithgard’s floating libraries and mirrored towers to learn from its sages.

Order is maintained in the country by the guard, known as the Mesha Sokar. They are swift to maintain peace and order, resolving conflicts quickly and efficiently. Any crimes are quickly investigated and punishment is dealt out by the courts of the land.

Kolithgard is a land where the sun never truly sets on wonder, where power is earned through mastery of the arcane, and where peace is maintained through wisdom, wit, and the occasional well-timed fireball.
